Delta connection of generator winding in micro-module cold channel data center

When the generator winding is connected in a symmetrical triangle, as shown in Figure 1-4-11, the end X of the first phase is connected with the start B of the second phase, the end Y of the second phase is connected with the start C of the third phase, and the end Z of the third phase is connected with the start A of the first phase. Three terminal wires are led out from three contacts. It is obvious from Figure 1-4-11 that the line voltage is equal to the phase voltage when connecting.

Because the potential of three-phase generator is usually not a real sine wave, the vector sum of three-phase potential in the winding closed circuit cannot be zero, so the triangular connection of generator winding is rarely seen, and is usually connected into a star. In star connection, even if the winding is wrongly connected, it will not cause the accident of burning the generator. Of course, this situation is still not allowed for load power supply.
