The standard server cabinet width is fixed at 19 inches, and the height can be flexibly configured according to the number of server Us (approximately 44.5cm per U). Common specifications include 24U (approximately 1 meter) and 42U (approximately 2 meters). The former is mostly used for compact layout of network equipment, while the latter is widely used in various data centers due to its larger space capacity. Users should accurately calculate the required U number based on actual deployment requirements to match the appropriate cabinet height.

2.Cabinet thickness

The thickness of the cabinet plate is directly related to its load-bearing capacity and structural stability. Generally speaking, the thicker the board, the stronger the load-bearing performance of the cabinet, but the cost will also increase accordingly. There are various cabinet plate thicknesses on the market, such as 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 2.0mm, etc. Users need to choose based on specific load requirements and budget.

The material and surface treatment of the cabinet cannot be ignored either. Cold-rolled steel plates have become the mainstream choice due to their excellent physical properties, and surface treatment technologies such as spray painting, galvanizing, phosphating, etc. have effectively improved the corrosion resistance, rust prevention and wear resistance of the cabinets, ensuring that the cabinets maintain their durability during long-term use.
