Cold Aisle containment regulations

Cold aisles are passages inside the data center that provide cooling for equipment. In short, cold aisles are paths and units used to cool servers and storage devices. Its main features are:

1.Provide cooling mechanisms to prevent IT equipment from overheating.

2.The cold air is delivered to the front of the rack and then sucked in from the back by the equipment.

3.Not interfered by the heat emitted by IT equipment, can improve cooling efficiency and reduce energy waste.

4.Can lower the temperature of the data center, protect IT equipment and extend its life.

When the IT equipment is working, the heat emitted by the equipment will form a hot channel at the rear of the rack, and the cold air will flow through the front of the rack. This prevents the cold air from mixing with the hot air and reduces the waste of energy. The purpose of enhancing the cooling effect of IT equipment is achieved.

Cold aisle refers to a device built between or within cabinets specifically for cooling cabinet equipment. It can be completely isolated from the hot air in the computer room environment and confine the cold air in the cabinet. It can avoid the mixing of hot and cold air, limit the heat dissipation effect of air-conditioning equipment, improve the utilization of cold air, and improve the cooling efficiency and cooling effect of the computer room.
